Chief Development Advisor (CDA)
Tahnee Ahtone is an enrolled member of the Kiowa Tribe and descendent of Mvskoke and Seminole Nations. She serves many roles in the arts as a museum director, cultural advisor, donor curator, and artist. Her research cultivates dialogues in American Art. At Moskehtu Consulting she advises on the design and implementation of strategies for all aspects of fundraising, including an annual campaign, endowment, supplemental campaigns, corporate sponsorships, grants, events, and other means of raising funds. The humanities and the arts are central to all human cultures throughout time. Her work produces projects that encourage conversations between multiple generations, academic institutions, and audiences for public engagement. Her work presents current artistic practices of Indigenous peoples as a communal experience of art rather than inaccessible objects and methodologies. Tahnee strives to bridge the gaps in arts and humanities by presenting new narratives from diverse perspectives. Her preferred research collections include twenty-first-century textile and costume design, Indigenous cultures, and artistic social justice. Tahnee is an alumna of Harvard University and the Institute of American Indian Arts, emphasizing Museology. She is currently an affiliate of Swansea University, where her research focuses on International Diplomacy and the Arts. Her contribution to the arts and change management serves museums, institutions, and philanthropy of the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
